CHEM-100L: Introduction to Chemistry Lab

This laboratory course introduces students to the main experimental methods used in a modern chemistry lab at a level appropriate for the non-science major. Specific topics/experiments include: chemical safety and hygiene, the operation of balances, volumetric, gravimetric, and instrumental methods of analysis, synthetic chemistry, graphical analysis of the ideal gas laws and an introduction to polymer chemistry. This course can be taken concurrently with CHEM 100 lecture or after successful completion of the CHEM 100 lecture with a grade of C- or better.  Fall and Spring
