This course is designed to provide students with an overview of the major principles and applications of modern organic chemistry. The focus of this course will be on the relationship between the structure and activity of organic molecules with particular emphasis placed upon biological applications. Prerequisite: Successful completion (grade of C- or better) of CHEM 111 and CHEM 112. Co-requisite: CHEM 220 Lab, 1 cr hr. Fall, as needed.
