CE-311: Structural Analysis

Credits 3.0
Academic Level
Undergraduate

This course covers the analysis of determinate and indeterminate structures, including beams, trusses, and frames. Topics include deflection calculations, the principle of superposition, influence lines, and the behavior of cables and arches. The course also introduces methods for analyzing indeterminate structures, including the slope deflection method and moment distribution method. Emphasis is placed on developing analytical skills to evaluate structural behavior and performance under various loading conditions. Pre-requisite: ES212 Solid Mechanics
