CBIO-370: Land Use & Environmental Policy

Introduction to administration of U.S. environmental laws and policy and the concept of managing natural resources at the landscape scale. Emphasis is on the history of policy development and the continued application of natural resource management and land-use to contemporary national and global issues. Students will be introduced to the principles of landscape ecology and U.S. environmental policy, land-use patterns, and ecological processes at the landscape scale through selected readings and discussions. Prerequisite: Successful completion (C- or better) of ENGL 102. Fall odd years.
