Department of Literature and Language
Mission Statement
The Department of Literature and Language commits to graduate well-read, articulate students who are capable of scholarly research; who understand literature contextually, internally, and experientially; and whose studies in the program make them suitable for teaching or further studies in English, law, or corporate training.
Department Passing Grade Policy
All major and minor courses of study in the Department of Literature and Language require a minimum grade for credit. All courses in the major and minor cores and major and minor electives will require the attainment of a C- or higher to count for credit towards graduation. Any student who has not achieved a C- or higher will need to re-take the course. Students should speak with the department chair about any additional questions or concerns.
