This course equips pre-service candidates with the academic, ethical, and interpersonal competencies necessary for professional success in teaching. Candidates prepare for the Content Praxis (5001) and Praxis 5205 (Teaching Reading) exams through targeted instruction and practice. Emphasis is placed on professional ethics, effective communication, collaboration, and reflective practice. Candidates will engage in applied learning around topics such as managing difficult conversations, building trust with families and colleagues, maintaining loyalty to their schools and professional duties, and demonstrating integrity both in person and online.
