This laboratory course provides hands-on application of concepts related to common internal and external parasites of domestic animals. Students will identify parasites through microscopic examination, gross specimen evaluation, and diagnostic techniques commonly used in veterinary practice. Emphasis is placed on parasite life cycles, host relationships, associated pathology, diagnostic methods, and control or prevention strategies. This course is designed to reinforce material presented in the corequisite lecture course through practical laboratory exercises and case-based learning. Corequisite VHS 300.
