This course provides a foundation of legal knowledge for students to apply to the sport industry and opportunities for students to engage with the legal information through assignments and examinations. Topics to be discussed include sports in society, torts, risk management, discrimination, drug testing, contracts, antitrust law, labor relations, agents, intercollegiate and interscholastic athletic issues, and international sports.
