Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Sport Management

The Sport Management concentration provides students with a foundational understanding of the sport industry while preparing them for entry-level careers through networking and hands-on experiences. This concentration covers key aspects of sport management, including public and media relations, legal and ethical considerations, governance and administration, and facility and event management. Students will explore the societal impact of sports, learn best practices for managing sporting events, and develop skills in marketing and promotion within the industry. Internship opportunities and professional networking further enhance students’ real-world understanding, preparing them to navigate the dynamic and competitive sports business environment.

Graduates of this concentration will be prepared for careers in sport marketing, event management, facility operations, athletic administration, sports media relations, and other roles within professional, collegiate, and recreational sports organizations.

Expected outcomes of the BBA - SMT concentration include:

  1. Apply principles and strategies for effective sports management and leadership.
  2. Develop practices for sport public and media relations.
  3. Apply marketing principles for event marketing.
